Thanks to D, I got invited to get an account with Gmail.
Now I have invites of my own to dish out.
I got six. Three I am reserving for the Gmail4Troops thing, and three are up for grabs here… although I am pretty sure that the small number of people who read my blog probably already have an account! 😉 But if you know anyone who is still pining for one, send them my way.
How about making up a Limerick to get an account? As long as they aren’t too dirty! No nasty words, but you can be clever if you wish. Or, if you’re limerick-impared, you can use a limerick generator.

The only hints I’ll give is, it’s the fastest growing freaking plant I’ve ever had, and no, it’s not a weed. 😊 Other hint: it’s not your typical house plant.

I’m not sure of the difficulty level of this… for all I know, someone could know right off the top of their heads. Prizes? Just the warm fuzzy feeling of being the first to guess!

I think it’s time to migrate my Cox e-mail address to a new one, reflecting my new last name.. If for nothing else but to try to get rid of the huge ass amount of spam I friggin get to that account!
11 out of 16 messages, unwanted spam! A couple of those I signed up for at one point (out of the 5 remaining ‘valid’ messages), so I can’t complain about those… but 11??

need opinions on cell phone services…
Mainly from anyone who uses Verizon wireless.
What kind of phone do you have?
Do you like it?
Have you had any problems with it or the service?
Opinions please… we’re considering moving to Verizon wireless from Sprint. I’m debating whether to get a non-camera phone or a camera phone (I currently have a camera phone, use it on occassion), too.

Cox e-mail in Arizona (maybe elsewhere, too) has been down since late last night. I think it started out as a maintenance, then it just went all wrong from there… Coming up on 24 hrs here.
On the good side, the amount of spam I’ve gotten today is at a minimum, as most of it was going to my main Cox address… on the down side, is that main account is what I use to get mail from all of our bills, from PayPal, from eBay, etc… Apparently anything that gets sent to my address in that time will probably bounce. Oh goodie.

Anyway, I decided to not require membership for people to comment. I figure it would probably be annoying to most people to have to do that. But, I did leave the captcha in comments on.. not that my blog gets hundreds of hits or anything, but my other one does get comment spam, and I’d like to try to keep it at a mimum here if possible. Restricted entries, of course, will require membership to read. No way around that. 😊
I know, I still have garbled crap on the right that was in the default template. I’m feeling very lazy. The skin converting is also slow going. Eventually I get it all changed over, and maybe even try to implement skinning here.. I hear it’s supposed to be fairly simple. We’ll see.
Now, to get myself motivated to work on my tickets…
