Now THAT’s a Christmas gift!

I wish my employers were this generous. That would make for a very nice Christmas. And that's the kind of thing that makes an employee feel appreciated. We might be lucky to finally get raises this year.
Bah humbug.
all the pretty lights…

I put the lights up on the house this afternoon. I figure I should do it soon since nearly every house on our block has done theirs and I didn't want to look Scrooge-ish.They're just plain white icicle lights. Icicle lights seem to be popular here, but I think that's mostly because it's a rare moment that we'd ever see REAL icicles hanging from the rooftops here. The day we see icicles hanging from roofs in Phoenix is probably a day most of us will wonder if Hell has started to freeze over.
Now on to the lights on the 9' beast of a Christmas tree. Which I also will have to use our 8' ladder in order to put them on the tree....
I fought the law, and the law won

In this case, the law = 9 foot Christmas tree.I swear that thing wants to eat me.
My forearms and hands are starting to look like I got into a fight with one of my cats.
And I'm only half done spreading its branches to fill it out. I haven't even started decorating the thing yet.
And it won't fit in the front window (the front of the room is only 8 foot ceiling), so it got put in the corner by the 3/4 wall. I'm going to tempt fate and leave the kitty tree where it's at and see how long it takes one of the cats to dive bomb it from the top of the 3/4 wall.
So far both of them are in hiding. We'll see how long that lasts.
