countdown to nappy-time…
T-minus 15 minutes.
That’s when I get to dump all my tickets into the queues and go sit in the training room with a few of my colleagues, prop my eyelids open with toothpicks and take a nice siesta.
Seriously, though, it’s damn hard not to fall asleep sitting in a room for 4 hrs with nothing to do but listen to a trainer speak and watch a screen as he clicks through windows showing us where to go & what to do.
Yes, we do get an occassional break, but still.
At least I know I’m not alone in my sleepiness. Out of the six of us there for the training (not including the trainer), all but two of us nodded off at some point during the four hours. I think someone almost fell out of his chair because he wasn’t sitting near the table.
I always feel bad for the trainer when I can’t keep my eyes open, but I almost can’t help it. I had the same problem in school, too, and it drove my teachers batty. Especially when I was able to get A’s & B’s on the tests. Heh.
T-minus 10 minutes.
Yeah, five minutes to type this up. Shaddup. I’m multi-tasking here!
Time to ditch the rest of my tickets. Yay!
