I was able to get gas for my car at a gas station near work with only two other cars waiting in front of me...
Of course, I paid $2.09/g, which I don't think I've ever done for 87 unleaded. I'm just glad I had 1/4 tank when I filled it, so I only paid $13 for my gas instead of $20 or more (which is what I would've paid if my tank had been nearly empty).
Is this a sign that people are starting to calm down and not freak out so much about this "gas shortage" and quit stopping every damn day to fill their tanks even if it's only for two or three gallons of gas? I hope so. That's the whole reason so many gas stations ran out of it so quickly, because of people's panic reflexes.
"Oh no! I'm just below a full tank, I
must stop for gas so I don't run out!" Good god people, just because a gas station doesn't have gas today, doesn't mean it will be out of gas four days from now when you have to fill your tank again... unless of course you freak out and stop every time you see a tanker filling the station's tanks to put gas in yours, and all of your neighbors do the same.. Then the gas station may just run out of gas afterall. Idiots.
That's all, folks...
