I think I’ve got a case of short-timers here…
It’s funny. I’m not quitting my “day” job for this second job I’ve gotten at the yarn store, but I’ve still got a pretty bad case of short-timer’s, I’m finding.
I found myself wanting to be there, learning the ropes at the yarn store, rather than here at my fulltime job, today.
I’ve not even worked 2 seconds at the yarn store, and I’m already wishing I were there as opposed to here.
I hope I enjoy working at the yarn store. The ladies running the place seem really nice. Even if it does mean I’ll be on my feet most of the time (I’ll be sure to wear my sneakers w/the arch support that I got while in Florida with the foot incident), it’ll be a refreshing change of pace. And I may even get to knit, probably crochet, and do cross-stitch on occassion while working there… I occassionally knit while I’m at work at my fulltime job, but only when it’s slow… and even then, I feel really strange doing it (as in, if a boss were to walk in and see me doing that, they’d give me the evil eye and the heebie-jeebies). But at the yarn store, it’ll be a part of the job. 😊
To say I’m looking forward to starting work there on Monday would be stating the obvious.
