sharpening the axe…
So today, the rumor mill starts spinning in regards to layoffs again, with a twist.
The current rumor is that our department will suffer a 50% reduction in force.
There’s nothing like having your legs cut off at your hips and still be expected to walk. 😖
I guess we’ll see how things turn out. Last time, the rumors started going around on a Friday, and we knew by the following Tuesday who fell under the axe and that they were “done for now”. I wonder if the turnaround from rumor to known fact will be as short this time, or if they’ll leave us quaking in our boots for several more weeks.
